K.K. Downing is a founding member of Judas Priest and was with the band until 2011. The one I saw Priest live, K.K. was not with them. Now he’s touring doing Judas Priest songs, with former Judas Priest singer Ripper Owens (who I last saw solo with Tate and Blaze).

Hence the name, “KK’s Priest” – a little on the nose, don’t you think?

Okay, are you caught up? K.K. looks like the old British man he is, but he can still play and Ripper can still sing his ass off. Do I know as many Judas Priest song as I thought I did? No sir, but I still enjoyed myself.

Accept opened and I had no idea what to expect. I know really one song, “Balls to the Wall” – a Beavis and Butthead favorite. And I knew the singer looked like a tiny troll man.

He’s not in the band anymore – and they really were more like a power metal band. So I dug it.

And I also loved the way they dressed. Classic.
