You read that right. We saw Britney Spears in concert. Why? How? My wife won tickets! That’s the only way this would happen! She actually won tickets through Market Basket. I was like – hell yeah we’re going to go.

The opening act was called LMNT. How the hell did I remember that? Well, I didn’t. But what I did remember was that it was a boy band made up of guys who did NOT win the first season of Making The Band. So I googled that, and saw that they supported Britney in 2002. It all adds up!

I remember being wowed by the sponsorship and corporate feel of it. A guy from Samsung, who sponsored the tour, came out and had the crowd chanting, “SAM! SUNG!”

And as for Britney – well she still WAS Britney then and I swear she made eye contact with me.

It was a lot of lip syncing, a lot of dancing, and a lot of tight outfits – and that was just me!
