This was an interesting one. Mainly because I was not all that familiar with the headline act of Helloween nor the opening act of HammerFall – but based on the music I have heard, I should own multiple shirts of each band and talk about my favorite songs on favorite albums over the years. Power metal bands from Germany and Sweden? I should own every album going back to the cassette days!

But I don’t.

What I did know and did hear that night was fun as hell.

I mean c’mon people – Helloween’s drummer plays inside a giant pumpkin!

A GIANT EVIL PUMPKIN!

They have two lead singers! Two! One who left and came back, one who joined after the first one and never left!

And at one point there were even giant beachball inflatable pumpkins that came out for the crowd to knock around.

Did I mention the giant pumpkin? What’s not to love!

Went with the usual trio of me, my brother and our buddy Dave.
