What Mike's Reading

Here we are with another book that I discovered thanks to the After Lunch podcast! They mentioned this one a few times and then I saw it was turned into a TV series for Apple TV+, so it’s bee on my list of “to read” for a while. Finally took the plunge the other day – and yeah, I think I am all in.

It felt like real sci-fi but with a sarcastic bite thanks to the first-person (robot) narrator himself (itself?) – Murderbot. The first…narrator makes sense since these are diaries.

I also like who you’re kind’ve thrown right into the middle of things. There’s no real set-up as to who the characters are and what is going on. You just have to basically figure it out as you go. I liked that.

It’s basically a novella, only around 150 pages, so even I was able to read it rather quickly (for me). I do know that the moment I finished it, I decided my next book is the next book in the series.

If that’s not a good sign, I don’t know what is.
