It’s Tuesday, June 3rd and I literally just today realized I was going to this show Friday. I just plum forgot.
Tesla is such a fun band. They were the first band I saw after the world shut down – at this very venue – back in 2021.
Can the guy hit the notes like he used – no. Does it matter? No! I think they actually sounded better than they did four years ago – or maybe I was just in a better state of mind.
This time around my brother and I were again joined by Rich and – filling in for our friend Dave – our buddy Chris joined.
This was the best picture i could get.
I also ran into my friend since first grade, Bill. Normally we just run into him and his brother Jim at EVERY Iron Maiden show – but this time we decided to change it up a bit.
One thing we all agreed on…Not a fan of the opening act at all.
The band – the actual musicians – were good. The main guy, Kurt Deimer, had the voice of a guy who didn’t want to sing but just kinda talk gravely without attempting to put any inflection on his vocals.
It immediately hit me the wrong way and continued to through his entire set.
But at least we had Tesla, which I loved – and as they say….
Love WILL find a way.
