I quite enjoyed this book. This is my second Andy Weir book, and while I was in love with Project Hail Mary (which I read last year before this blog), I am probably “in like” with this one. I enjoyed the general plot and the characters, and just kinda assumed the science stuff was accurate as the author (or as Jazz) explained it.
To be honest, that part is easy because it’s like – yes, yes all this stuff is why this is happening, but the “why” and the “who” were the important parts – and the overall plot of it.
Plus it’s on the moon, so that gives it some extra points right there.
Did not leave me feeling the same way PHM did, but it did leave me happy and wondering what happens next for the characters! I have yet to read The Martian, which will be a bit of a different experience because I have already seen the movie a decade ago. I do own a paperback copy so, someday!
This was another public library book, and I’m livid with myself because I spilled water on it. Yes it was only water, but it did seem to cause some slight warping and discoloring. I plan on being up front with them and letting them know right away about the damage and my willing to buy the book or pay for a replacement if needed.
I want to blame the water dish in the back seat of my car for my dog – but it was my fault for putting it so close to the book.
This ends a streak of reading physical books. Five actual books in a row (four of which were library books) and seven out of the last nine (with one more library book squeezed in there). As much as I enjoy physical books – I miss my Kindle and look forward to getting back to it for my next couple reads…
